You have likely heard the saying, “the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.” The truth is that the grass is greener wherever you water it. Martin Luther King Jr once said, “If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep the streets even as a Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep the streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, “Here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.””
Here are 3 ideas to think about implementing in your life:
1. Focus. Whatever your current role is—give it your all and work every day to BE THE BEST you can be. EXECUTE on the opportunity that is in front of you, not on the one that is behind you.
2. Prepare. When nobody’s watching and nobody cares—continue to put in the WORK.
3. Joy. EMBRACE the journey and own the moment you are in. Surround yourself with people who you enjoy. BELIEVE the best for yourself and others. Consistently improve yourself each day. Simply put: Love the Process ????
