In a world that can be noisy and confusing it can be difficult to stay focused on the tasks at hand. A wise man once said that diligence is the mother of good luck and advised to never leave that till tomorrow, which you can do today. This has never been more important. While we need to maintain a growth mindset and continually be learning and growing in our understanding, there are also quite a few things that continue to be true over time—in the same way that if I drop my pen it will fall towards the earth.

So my encouragement today is to tend to your garden, whatever that is for you. To remember those things that matter most and never let them be overtaken by less important ideas and tasks. The most important resource that we have is time. Use yours diligently each day and keep hammering at the things that matter most. Nothing great was ever built over night and the most precious things take time to build. Decide what your building is, and stay at it. By the way, I wish I could say that I have this concept mastered—I do not. So we are all in this together!
